These are ephemera inspired bookmarks with a touch of bling and tech. These NFC enabled bookmarks allow you to write small bits of code, whether it’s a secret message, a link to a YouTube song, or even dim the lights. These NFC tags are re-writable so how you use them is up to you. On the back they have a quote by Jane Austen. They feature an inspired collage of ephemera, an artwork by Nate Sullivan, covered in a glossy resin. And topped off, they have an upcycled piece of jewelry. Personalization options coming soon!
This run of bookmarks feature the following:
- 2.5″ x 6″ bookmark
- Jane Austen quote from Pride & Prejudice
- Re-writable NFC tag (tap NFC enabled smartphone near artwork to interact)
- Artwork by Nate Sullivan; resin covered window
- Two pieces of inspired ephemera (reproductions of 19th century designs)
- Upcycled jewelry tassle
What are NFC tags?
NFC tags are similar to the NFC technology that’s used in your payment card, that allows you to Tap to Pay. Using an app like NFC Tools on your iPhone, you can write little snippets of code (at text message, or link to a website) and it’s save to the NFC tag. Just tap your phone next to the tag (in this case your bookmark) and you’ll be prompted to a link, or use NFC Tools to read the secret message.
