Girl Stealing a Fawn

Girl Stealing a Fawn

The painting was inspired by the color and texture of the Peruvian Cusco School of religious paintings. I allowed the fawn to appear awkwardly held, as if grabbed in haste, while the girl flees the forest, which is where the title, “Girl Stealing a Fawn” comes from.
